Film activity shifted to Madras in 1905 when Swamikannu Vincent organized his touring cinema. He travelled throughout South India with a projector and films, providing a synchronized sound effect by combining the movie projector and a gramaphone. Thanks to Vincent, Bombay and Calcutta were no longer the
only cities with their very own cinema shows. Encyclopaedia of Indian Cinema. |
